Booking for summer and fall 2012!

As a pet photographer, I focus on the minute details that make our pets so distinctly our own. The cookie crumbs stuck to the chin. A clump of mud on the nose. The special pattern that those gray hairs makes on a forehead. The funny little bald spot on a curly tail. Or the opalesque shine of those aging eyes.

Rachel Mason Photography offers a documentary-style of pet photography. No pre-determined poses. I capture your pet enjoying everyday life with a sprinkle of dirt and a dusting of magic!

If you are interested in booking a session or have questions, please call me, send me an email, or complete the form on the contact page. I can't wait to share my vision with you!

ABOUT RACHEL

I always knew I would live a life surrounded by the love of many pets. I grew up in a home full of dogs, cats, fish, birds, and even two adorable rats. My lifelong dream was to become a veterinarian and I applied to only one college - Colorado State University. When I realized I had other ideas about my future, I graduated with a BS in wildlife biology. I spent the next 6 years working for various government agencies as a research technician and Colorado State Park Ranger. Even after quitting my job so I could get married and begin a new life with my husband, I drifted back into the veterinary industry and never left.

Fast forward ten years and here I am, living in Kansas City, Missouri, in a 70-year old home with my handsome husband and four funny pets. We consider ourselves the epitome of crazy pet owners as everything our one cat and three dogs accomplish is considered a milestone to be celebrated with special trips to the dog bakery and shredding of expensive toys. And, of course, taking hundreds of photos.
